Waaaaaahhhhh!!!!! Glastonbury here we come!
A full solar cycle after our show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire, we’re extremely happy to announce that our next London show will be at the Roundhouse on the 30th of January 2019 where we’ll be doing a special full band “in the round” performance. This will be our very last “Moonshine Freeze” show before work begins in earnest on the next album
Tickets go on sale to members 10am tomorrow, and on general sale Thursday 1st Nov
I hardly know where to begin when I think of the places we’ve been and the friends we’ve made.
So it’s especially exciting for us that the superstars at Third Man Records are releasing a 7″ single of two tracks that were recorded live at the show we played at their Detroit, Cass Corridor shop earlier in this year.
For me this release represents so many strong memories from being on tour and new encounters and friendships found along the journey, and also the way in which songs evolve on tour to be quite different to their original album versions.
These particular recordings are of “Earthquake” and “Cold and Got Colder”. both songs that have taken on a different shape when we play them live. AND for this show in question we had the huge honour to be joined on stage by A-list celebrity horn section Adam Schatz and Molly Jones. Playing with them was the greatest of the great, so to have the performance preserved in Third Man amber is a dream come true.

Thanks so much to everyone who came out to see us on the January shows. It was just lovely to see you all.
Remarkably, February has seen us take a little break from playing shows. The neverending tour is on a brief hiatus, before we resume our travels across Europe, starting in the Netherlands with the wonderful Stargaze.

Hello friends! We are extremely delighted to be joining The National on their four dates in London at the Eventim Apollo this September, and across North America and Canada this Winter. We are incredibly happy to be joining them on these dates, but it does mean, unfortunately, that we are moving our O2 Shepherds Bush Empire show from September this year to 25th January 2018. No other UK shows are affected.
We really hope it doesn’t cause you any undue inconvenience or complication. And of course it goes without saying that should you be unable to make the new date, for whatever reason, full refunds will be available from the point of purchase.

TODAY our new album MOONSHINE FREEZE is released on Rough Trade Records!
And to kick off the celebrations Rozi Plain and I will be playing some songs at Resident Brighton at about 18:30. The next day we play in London aboard The Record Deck UK at about 4pm (moored up at mile end park). If you go to LIVE page it will tell you of the other instore events and festivals and gigs we gave coming up to celebrate the release of ‘Moonshine Freeze’. (Just in time for Sunday’s full moon).
We recorded the album last November with John Parish at Invada Studios in Bristol and it features the talents of many friends who we love dearly… Rachael Dadd, Emily stables, Melanie Wickham, Lorenzo Prati, Jesse d Vernon, Rozi Plain, Neil Smith, Jamie Whitby-Coles, Sam Church…to name but a few, and we are very happy for you to finally be able to hear all the songs.
THANKS GUYS! X
